At Woofing Wild, our walks are about much more than simply exercising your dog.

We specialise in training walks and reactive solo walks for dogs who may struggle with reactivity, anxiety, over-arousal, frustration, confidence or navigating everyday environments.

Each walk is tailored to the individual dog. Rather than avoiding the world completely, we carefully create opportunities to build confidence, practise training and develop the skills your dog needs to cope more calmly with real-life situations.

Depending on your dog’s needs, sessions may include engagement and focus work, loose-lead walking, trigger exposure at appropriate distances, confidence building, decompression, environmental neutrality and calm decision-making.

We also make time for dogs to simply be dogs. Sniffing, exploring and natural enrichment are an important part of our walks, helping to support emotional wellbeing alongside training.

With experience working with reactive and complex dogs, we understand that some dogs simply aren't suited to traditional group dog walking. Our specialist solo walks give them the individual attention, understanding and support they need — without the pr

The Wild Walk

Your dog will join us for a dedicated one-to-one walk, giving them our full attention for the entire session. Walks are carefully chosen around your dog’s individual needs, confidence, behaviour and training goals.

Our 1-1 walks are particularly suited to reactive, anxious, over-excitable or less confident dogs who may find traditional group walking difficult or overwhelming.

We take a proactive approach to every walk. Alongside plenty of opportunity to sniff, explore and enjoy being a dog, we can work on skills such as loose-lead walking, recall, engagement, neutrality around triggers, confidence building and calmer responses to the environment.

For reactive dogs, we can carefully work around real-world triggers at an appropriate level for the individual dog, advocating for their space while helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to navigate everyday life.

If you're already working on training at home or with a trainer, we're also happy to reinforce this during their walks to provide greater consistency.

Travel time is included within the price but does not come out of your dog's walking time, so they receive their full allocated session outdoors.

One dog. One handler. A walk completely focused on them.

Every walk has a purpose

Marker words

We want every dog to understand when they’ve got it right.

Clear, consistent communication helps remove confusion, builds confidence and makes training easier for both dog and owner. By making expectations easy to understand and reinforcing the choices we want to see, we can help every dog reach their full potential.

Focus and Engagement

We love dogs to develop natural focus and engagement with us.

Rather than constantly asking for attention, we want your dog to choose to check in with you. These little moments of connection can improve loose-lead walking, make navigating distractions easier and, most importantly, build a stronger relationship based on trust, communication and teamwork.

Recall

Your dog’s safety will always be our priority, which is why we take off-lead freedom seriously.

Before any dog comes off lead, we thoroughly assess their recall in a variety of situations and around different distractions. Recall continues to be practised and reinforced every time they're off lead, not just during their initial assessment.

We believe in being proactive rather than reactive, regularly strengthening recall so our dogs can enjoy freedom while remaining safe, responsive and connected to us.

Loose Lead Walking

It helps make everyday walks calmer, safer and more enjoyable for your dog, their handler and everyone around them.

We teach dogs how to move comfortably with us without constant pulling or tension, while still having the freedom to sniff and explore.

It's a simple but incredibly valuable real-life skill we believe every dog should master.

Dog to Dog manners

We believe it's incredibly important for dogs to learn how to interact appropriately with other dogs and understand what polite, respectful social behaviour looks like.

Rather than encouraging dogs to simply run riot together, we focus on calm interactions, appropriate play, reading social cues and learning when to disengage.

Our goal is for dogs to feel comfortable happily co-existing around one another, without feeling that every dog they see needs to become a playmate.

Confidence Building

This is a vital part of helping dogs feel happy and confident in everyday life.

We believe in giving dogs the opportunity to build confidence, make positive choices and learn how to navigate the world around them. With the right guidance and support, we can help your dog feel safer, calmer and more comfortable in everyday situations.
