About Us
Woofing Wild (previously Mental Mutts) was set up in 2018 by Elsa after experiencing first hand the lack of understanding for dogs especially ones with complex emotions for example reactivity. We started as a dog walking service, than branched into behaviour and training within 2020. In 2025 Rich joined the team to become head dog walker.
Our mission is to help owners of reactive dogs connect in a compassionate way with their dogs so that the can live and thrive together.
We only use effective, scientifically proven force free training techniques and we stay up to date with the most up to date methods as well as always ensure we are expanding our continued professional development. I promise to never hurt, implement fear or scare your dog in the name of training
Since starting in 2018, we have helped over 500 reactive dogs and owners live a life of freedom away from avoidance. We believe in training for real life!

Hi, I’m Elsa – a passionate dog trainer and founder of Woofing Wild.
My journey in the pet industry began in March 2018, and I’ve been working professionally with dogs ever since. Formerly known as Mental Mutts in Hertfordshire, my business evolved into Woofing Wild when I relocated to the beautiful landscapes of Cornwall in 2024.
Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to working with a wide range of dog breeds, helping both dogs and their humans build better communication and stronger relationships. My journey began with hands-on experience as a dog walker, primarily working with reactive and high-energy dogs. This work gave me invaluable insight into canine behaviour and inspired me to deepen my knowledge and pursue professional training.
My biggest teacher, however, has been my own dog – a wonderful collie named Coco. Coco struggled with car chasing and inappropriate herding behaviours, and through working with her, I discovered a passion for behaviour modification and the incredible transformations that positive training can bring.
I truly believe that all training should be built on understanding, patience, and joy. I can’t wait to help you and your dog build the strong, trusting bond you both deserve.
With over a decade of hands-on experience in dog training and behaviour, I bring a wealth of knowledge to every client I work with.

Hi, I’m Richard – dog walker, trainer, and proud co-pilot of Woofing Wild.
Although I’m new to the professional side of the dog world, I’ve been living and breathing dogs my whole life. I grew up in a household where dogs were always part of the family – sometimes five at a time! Over the years, I’ve shared my life with dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments, including a reactive Staffordshire Bull Terrier who taught me firsthand just how challenging – and rewarding – reactive dog care can be.
Today, I live with four incredible dogs and my wife Elsa, whose knowledge, experience, and passion for canine behaviour have deeply inspired me. Since joining her at Woofing Wild, I’ve been learning everything I can – both on the ground and through formal study – about canine communication, training, and behaviour modification. I’m currently completing accredited courses in dog training, canine behaviour, communication, and canine first aid, and I’m excited to bring this learning into real-world practice.
At Woofing Wild, I’ll be heading up our walking services, with a focus on providing enriching, structured walks tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I’ll also be supporting training sessions and continuing to grow my skills in behaviour work – particularly with reactive dogs, a cause close to my heart.
I believe every dog deserves to be seen, heard, and supported with empathy and patience. I’m thrilled to be part of their journeys, and I can’t wait to meet yours.
