Understand the behaviour.
Change the picture.
Dog training isn't just about teaching commands.
It's about understanding why your dog is struggling, helping them feel differently and giving both of you the skills to navigate real life with more confidence.
Whether you're dealing with a complex behaviour problem or simply need some support with everyday training, our sessions are tailored around the individual dog and the life you actually share together.
No two dogs are the same.
That's why we don't start with a generic training method.
We start with your dog.
Kind. Practical. Individual. Built for real life.
what do we cover?
Reactivity is our speciality.
Reactivity is a term used when a dog has a heightened response to something in their environment. This might look like barking, lunging, growling, raised hackles, fixation or trying desperately to create distance. The trigger could be another dog, a person, livestock, traffic, an unfamiliar object or almost anything else.
At Woofing Wild, we don't simply see a "badly behaved dog". We look at why the behaviour is happening.
Reactivity can develop for many reasons. Fear, frustration, previous experiences, pain, genetics, lack of confidence and inappropriate socialisation can all play a part. Some dogs have been attacked, some have had difficult starts in life and others simply find the world more overwhelming.
We also challenge the idea that every dog needs to be a social butterfly. Socialisation isn't about allowing your dog to interact with every dog they meet. For many dogs, learning to exist calmly around other dogs without needing to interact with them is far more valuable.
Our approach focuses on understanding the individual dog, building confidence, developing calmer responses and giving both dog and owner practical skills for navigating the real world.
Most importantly, we understand the human at the other end of the lead too.
Living with a reactive dog can be emotionally exhausting. Walks can become stressful, you may worry about what other people think, and it can sometimes feel incredibly isolating.
You don't have to navigate it alone.
Woofing Wild has built a supportive community of owners experiencing many of the same challenges. We're here to help you understand your dog, rebuild your confidence and create a life that feels more manageable and enjoyable for you both.
Your dog doesn't need to fit everyone else's idea of "normal". They deserve the chance to be understood.
Why choose us?
Because we understand reactivity from both ends of the lead.
Cosmo is a huge part of why Woofing Wild understands reactive dogs so deeply. As a puppy, we did everything we thought we were supposed to do. We trained, socialised, exposed him to the world and worked incredibly hard to give him the best possible start.
And yet, Cosmo still became reactive.
His reactivity developed towards dogs, people and even vehicles, and at times simply navigating everyday life with him was difficult. It taught us one of the most important lessons we now share with our clients: you can do everything “right” and still have a reactive dog.
Cosmo wasn't a bad dog and we hadn't failed him. He was a dog who found parts of the world incredibly difficult and needed us to understand him rather than force him to fit our expectations.
Through years of training, learning what he needed and building his confidence, Cosmo has come an incredible way. He has progressed from a dog who struggled enormously with the world around him to a dog capable of helping other reactive dogs as one of our stooge dogs.
That journey has shaped so much of what we do at Woofing Wild.
Alongside over 10 years of experience working with reactive, nervous and complex dogs, we bring genuine ownership experience to our sessions. We know how exhausting reactivity can be. We know what it's like to change your walks, worry about what's around the next corner and feel as though everyone is judging the dog at the end of your lead.
That's why we don't just train your dog.
We support you too.
Our sessions focus on realistic goals, carefully planned real-life scenarios, practical handling skills and helping you understand why your dog behaves the way they do.
We're not trying to create a dog who loves everyone and everything.
We're helping you create a dog who can navigate their world with greater confidence — and an owner who feels confident navigating it alongside them.
Our Training Packages
Training tailored to you & your dog
Every dog, owner and situation is different. There is no single training method or plan that will work for every dog, which is why our training packages are designed around you, your dog and the life you share together.
Whether you're looking for support with reactivity, anxiety, confidence, over-arousal or more complex behavioural challenges, we'll look beyond the behaviour itself to understand why it's happening and what your dog needs moving forward.
Each package begins with an in-depth initial consultation and assessment, followed by a personalised training plan, continued trainer support and follow-up training sessions depending on the package you choose.
Up to 2-Hour Initial Consultation & Assessment
This is where we get to know you and your dog.
We'll discuss your dog's history, lifestyle, behaviour, previous experiences, current challenges and what you would realistically like to achieve from training.
We'll then assess your dog and look at the behaviour you're experiencing, including potential triggers, body language, emotional responses, handling and environmental factors.
During the session, we'll actively demonstrate how to put your dog's training into practice, working with you so that you feel confident continuing the techniques outside of our sessions.
Following your consultation, you'll receive a personalised training plan tailored specifically to you and your dog's individual needs.
Continued Trainer Support
Training doesn't stop when your session finishes.
You'll have continued support from Woofing Wild throughout your package via email or phone, giving you somewhere to turn if you have questions, encounter difficulties or simply need a little guidance along the way.
Follow-Up Training
Your package will include follow-up training sessions, with the number of sessions dependent on the package you choose.
These allow us to review your progress, troubleshoot anything you're struggling with, adapt your training where necessary and continue building on the foundations established during your initial consultation.
Once the sessions included within your package have been completed, additional training sessions are available at £85 per hour.
Payment Plans
We understand that investing in behavioural training can be a significant commitment, which is why we offer a two-stage payment option across our training packages.
Our aim is to give you more than a training session. We want you to leave with understanding, practical skills, continued support and a clear path forward for you and your dog.

OUR MOST COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT
Chaos to Calm
More than a training package. A complete behaviour journey.
£500
Chaos to Calm is for the dogs who need more and the humans who want someone beside them throughout the process.
If you've spent months or even years managing behaviour, avoiding situations, trying different advice or wondering whether life with your dog will ever feel easier, this is where we can really get stuck in.
Rather than trying to solve everything in a single session, Chaos to Calm gives us the time, support and flexibility to understand the whole picture and create meaningful, lasting change.
Your journey includes:
Initial behaviour consultation — up to 2 hours
Time to properly understand your dog, their history, behaviour, lifestyle and what life currently looks like.
5 private follow-up sessions
Progressive, practical sessions built around your individual dog and the situations you actually need help with.
3 stooge dog sessions
Carefully controlled opportunities to practise around suitable dogs where appropriate.
Ongoing support between sessions
So you're not left wondering what to do when real life happens between appointments.
Whole-dog assessment
Considering behaviour alongside physical wellbeing, lifestyle, nutrition, environment and other factors that may be influencing your dog.
Video support & training feedback
Helping us see what's happening outside our sessions and adjust your training as you progress.
Professional liaison where appropriate
We can work alongside your vet, physiotherapist or other relevant professionals where additional support may benefit your dog.
Best suited to:
Reactive dogs • complex behaviour • multiple behavioural struggles • dogs with a long history of difficulties • owners wanting ongoing support • cases where previous training hasn't created the change you hoped for.
You don't have to figure this out alone.
Chaos to Calm gives us the opportunity to work through the journey together, from understanding what's happening now to helping you build a life that feels calmer, more manageable and enjoyable again.
Our most comprehensive private 1:1 behaviour package.
Looking for something smaller?
Sometimes you don't need the full journey. Our shorter packages give you professional support while keeping the investment lower.
