Real Dogs.
Real Life.
Real Training.
Helping dogs and their humans live better lives together.
Specialist dog training and behaviour support in Cornwall, with a particular passion for reactivity, herding breeds and the dogs who don’t quite fit the mould.
We don’t believe your life should revolve around avoiding every dog, person, car or difficult situation. We help you understand your dog, build their confidence and develop the skills you both need to navigate the real world together.
WHEN LIFE WITH YOUR DOG FEELS HARD...
You’re in the right place.
Maybe every walk involves scanning the horizon for another dog.
Maybe you’re tired of crossing roads, turning around or planning your walks around when nobody else will be there.
Maybe your dog barks, lunges, fixates, chases, guards, struggles to switch off or simply finds the world a little overwhelming.
Perhaps you share your life with a Collie, Kelpie or another high-drive breed and you’ve realised that generic training advice just doesn’t quite fit.
Or maybe you simply want to understand your dog better, build their confidence and give them the best life possible.
We get it.
At Woofing Wild, we don’t just look at the behaviour you can see.
We look at the dog underneath it.
Their emotions. Their breed. Their experiences. Their environment. Their physical wellbeing. Their needs. And the relationship they have with you.
Because behaviour is communication — and understanding what your dog is trying to tell you is where real change begins.
“I’ve been working with Elsa for almost a year to tackle my dog’s anxiety and reactivity.
I’ve tried trainers in the past but have come away feeling dejected and hopeless about how to improve mine and my dog’s life.
Elsa is different - she completely understands the challenges of loving and living with a dog with reactivity. Her approach has been empathetic, patient and endlessly supportive.
At her suggestion we began investigating pain relief, digestive issues and some simple changes we could make to my dog’s lifestyle - all of which were realistic within my day-to-day life. My dog’s reactivity has hugely improved. We are going to places I’d previously avoided and I have a much better understanding of her triggers and how to avoid them since working with Elsa.
She’s always happy to answer questions via WhatsApp and is so passionate about every dog she works with. I feel very lucky to have found Elsa ”
Find your way forward
How can we help?
No two dogs or humans, need exactly the same thing.
Whether you're struggling with reactivity, looking for more support with everyday training, or simply want your dog to have a more fulfilling week, we'll help you find the right way forward.
For the dogs who find the world a little harder.
From barking, lunging and frustration to fear, fixation, chasing, guarding and more complex behaviour, we'll help you understand what's happening underneath the reaction and create a realistic way forward.
Reactivity and Behaviour
More than just daycare.
Small, carefully managed groups where dogs can explore, socialise, play, train and decompress — with enrichment, structure and plenty of opportunity to simply be a dog.
Wild Camp
Walks with purpose.
Specialist 1-1 walks designed particularly for dogs who need a little more support, incorporating confidence building, real-world exposure, engagement and training along the way.

Building Possibility Together
THE WOOFING WILD WAY
We don’t train dogs to live in a bubble.
Real life isn’t an empty field with a pocket full of treats and no distractions.
It’s dogs appearing around corners. Busy beaches. Cars. Children. Cafés. Visitors. Livestock. New places. Unexpected situations.
And sometimes, it’s an off-lead dog heading straight towards you while its owner shouts, “Don’t worry, he’s friendly!”
We want your training to work where you actually need it.
Our approach isn’t about creating the perfectly obedient dog. It’s about helping your dog develop the confidence, resilience and skills to navigate their world — while giving you the knowledge and confidence to support them.
We look at the whole dog.
Behaviour rarely exists in isolation.
Breed. Genetics. Physical health. Pain. Nutrition. Sleep. Environment. Enrichment. Experiences. Emotional wellbeing. Lifestyle.
They can all influence what happens at the other end of the lead.
That’s why we don’t simply ask:
“How do we stop this behaviour?”
We ask:
“Why is this behaviour happening?”
Because once we understand the why, we can start creating meaningful change.
BEHIND THE LEADS
Meet the humans behind Woofing Wild.
We’re Elsa & Rich — husband and wife, dog people, and the humans behind Woofing Wild.
What started with a passion for helping the dogs others sometimes found “difficult” has grown into a family-run business built around understanding dogs as individuals.
Elsa is our Head Trainer & Behaviour Specialist, with over 10 years of experience and a particular passion for reactivity, complex behaviour and herding breeds.
Rich is our Head Dog Walker & trainee trainer, working hands-on with dogs through Wild Walks, confidence building, real-world exposure and everyday life skills.
Between us, we’ve worked with hundreds of dogs but some of our greatest teachers have been the dogs we share our own home with.
They’re the reason we understand that progress isn’t always linear, management isn’t failure and sometimes success looks very different from the picture you originally had in your head.
We don’t just work with dogs. We live this life too.
Muddy boots. Dog hair. Reactive moments. Training wins. Early mornings. Long walks. And usually at least one Collie watching our every move.
Welcome to our wonderfully wild little family.
READY WHEN YOU ARE
Not sure where to start?
You don’t need to know which service or package your dog needs.
Tell us a little about them, what you're struggling with and what you'd love life together to look like.
We’ll help you find the right way forward.
