Day Training
Sometimes life is busy. Sometimes you know your dog needs more support, more structure or more consistent training than you have the time to deliver on your own. That does not mean you are failing your dog. It simply means you need the right support.
At Woofing Wild, our Day Training service is designed to give your dog focused 1-1 support from a professional trainer, while taking the pressure off you as the owner. This is ideal for busy owners, dogs needing extra help, or those who would benefit from consistent training in a safe and structured environment.
Much like the rest of our services, we believe in training for real life. Our aim is to help your dog build practical skills, confidence and calmer behaviour that can carry over into home life and everyday situations. This reflects the wider Woofing Wild approach across training, behaviour work, classes and walks.
One of the biggest benefits of Day Training is consistency.
Often owners know what they need to do, but real life gets in the way. Work, family life, energy levels and time pressures can all make regular training difficult. By allowing your dog to work directly with a trainer, they get the benefit of repetition, structure and professional guidance without it all falling on your shoulders.
Day Training can help:
Build skills faster through consistent practice
Give busy owners support without the guilt
Create a calmer, more focused dog
Boost confidence in nervous or overwhelmed dogs
Begin tackling unwanted behaviours in a structured way
Give owners a solid foundation to continue at home
This service works particularly well alongside follow-up support, so that both dog and owner are progressing together.
Day Training is a service where your dog spends dedicated time with us for focused training sessions without you needing to be present for every part of the process.
This can be especially helpful if:
You are short on time but want professional help
Your dog needs more consistency than you can currently provide
You are struggling with specific behaviours and want a trainer to get hands-on
Your dog would benefit from learning in a calm, structured environment
You want a head start before follow-up sessions at home
We know that many owners feel overwhelmed trying to juggle work, life and dog training. Day Training helps bridge that gap by giving your dog the benefit of professional support, while also giving you practical guidance on how to maintain progress.
What is Day Training?
Why choose day training?
What does a Day Training session involve?
Our Day Training is designed around real life, not just controlled environments. While we use our secure spaces to build foundations, a big part of your dog’s progress comes from getting out into the real world.
We take dogs out into public environments to work on everyday situations they may struggle with. This allows us to safely and gradually expose them to real-life triggers while giving them the guidance and support they need to learn better responses.
Depending on your dog, we may cover:
Loose lead walking in public spaces
Engagement and focus around distractions
Recall foundations in safe environments
Calm behaviour around people, dogs, traffic and general life
Confidence building in new or busy environments
Reactivity work at your dog’s pace
Settling in public places
Handling and general life skills
This is where many dogs make the biggest breakthroughs. Training in the real world means your dog is not just learning behaviours in a bubble, but actually understanding how to cope, respond and succeed in everyday life.
Every session is tailored to your dog. We meet them where they are at, build them up at a pace that is fair and achievable, and focus on creating lasting change you can continue at home.
Each dog’s training day is tailored to them, but sessions may include a mixture of:
Foundation obedience
Calmness and settle work
Confidence building exercises
Exposure work where appropriate
Enrichment and fulfilment
Lead walking practice
Handling and life skills
Realistic training in safe environments
We focus on creating progress in a way that is fair, effective and supportive to your dog. Woofing Wild’s wider training ethos is built around compassionate, force-free methods and real-life practical outcomes.

Is Day Training right for my dog?
Day Training is best suited to owners who want support, structure and professional guidance but may not have the time to do it all themselves. It can also be a brilliant option for dogs who need a bit of extra help getting started before owners continue the work at home.
If we feel your dog would be better suited to an alternative service, we will always be honest and guide you in the right direction. Your dog’s wellbeing and success always come first. This matches the way your site already presents your services, with support tailored to the dog rather than forcing the wrong fit.
